Mt. Zion Community Benefit Fundraiser
Mt. Zion, IL – Join four churches as they raise funds to help a family with extreme medical expenses.
The Mt. Zion Community Benefit committee selected 12-year-old 6th grader Sebastian Smallwood from Mt. Zion.
He has a brain tumor and has undergone surgery, treatments and physical therapy while traveling or staying in St. Louis. He is very active in Mt. Zion Troop 43, video games, watching WWE wrestling.
The Smallwood family appreciate everyone’s love, prayers and any support they can provide as they work to spend time with Sebastian and fight this fight with him.
It is important to note that proceeds raised will be donated to Sebastian and his family. How you can help is by donating cash, check, online or with gift cards from Wal-Mart, Target, restaurants or gas cards. Members from our four local participating churches can be contacted, or gift cards can be dropped off at any of the churches.
Another option is to go online. Visit https://mtzunitedmethodist.com/donate. You will also see a QR code to scan on yard signs and flyers. If you would like to donate by check, please make them payable to: Mt. Zion Community Benefit.
The four participating churches are Mt. Zion Presbyterian, Our Lady of the Holy Spirit, Long Creek United Methodist Church and Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.
The fundraiser ends June 30, 2026.
