Red, White and Bement… Community Celebration Set for July 4 with Family Fun, Food and Fireworks
The Bement Community Council is inviting residents and visitors alike to join in a day of patriotic fun during Bement’s Fourth of July Celebration on Saturday, July 4, at the Bement Forest Preserve Park.
Festivities will take place from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and will feature a variety of activities for all ages. Attendees can enjoy live music, games, a parade, food trucks, vendors, Bingo, a cake walk, Putt-Putt golf, cornhole, inflatables and more throughout the afternoon.
In honor of America’s 250th, the Council has proudly announced that this year’s Grand Marshal for their 4th of July Parade will be the members of the Bement American Legion and all local veterans within the Bement School District.
The parade will follow the usual route at 2 :00 pm. Anyone is welcome to enter the parade, no pre-registration is required. Line up starts at 1:00 pm in front of the grade school (200 block of S. Piatt St).
Bingo will start at 3:00 pm in the pavilion at the Bement Forest Preserve Park and the cost is $1 per card.
The celebration is designed to provide family-friendly entertainment while bringing the community together to honor Independence Day.
The day will conclude with a fireworks display beginning around 9 p.m. Fireworks will be launched from the football field, providing a spectacular ending to the holiday celebration.
Organizers encourage families, friends and visitors from throughout the area to come out and enjoy an afternoon and evening filled with community spirit, patriotic pride and traditional Fourth of July fun.
